Hey newbie to decat or not to decat

Hey all recently bought a 2002 type r ep3, ive bought a scorpian b pipe and a standard backbox as the one on it now is a bit to much for me. My question is what are everyones thoughts about decats?

Ive purchased one but im still half and half about to put it on or not as ive heard it throws on the engine light.

Also with the decat + b pipe will it be ridiculously louder?

Any feedback would be helpful thanks.

sooo, your asking about removing the Cat? yes it will be louder by a lot. In the older cars removing the cat does not throw any codes. However I have no clue how wired up the ep3 is.

removing the cat is going to make it loud as hell, and it prolly has a o2 sensor in it thats going to throw a code if you remove it. unless you get a high flow cat with a 02 bung .

Thanks for the replys, im not after it to be too loud to be honest so thanks for the heads up. Will just throw the b-pipe on with the oem backbox and sell the decat. Thanks for the heads up
