Honda Civic 2003 Engine conversion w/2005 EGR is it possible?
I have a 2005 Honda Civic and recently replace it with a 2003 engine, actually Honda did the part for me, they had to use the top part of my 2005 engine that has the computer plugs, the computer cannot find the egr due to 2003 engines did not have the egr. Can I take the 2003 top that does not contain the egr and replace it with the 2005? Taking where the spark plugs are housed and thats the part right above the pistons. Is this possible? All the honda tech told me to do is hook the egr up to the engine to see if it clears the check engine light. What should I do if i leave it off the engine light will stay on and I won't know if it will have any other engine malfunctions or try to convert it over and run all the cables and hoses just like the 2005 had, or what?
