Yeah really2 Bad Ass write up...
i'm still looking for the gps antenna assembly and reasonably priced media unit.
I have some question for the OP tho if u don't mind...
Will any aftermarket gps antenna do in place of the original one? And
without the media tuner and tape deck, would the gps still function?
thanks in advance.

Pretty doubtful that another one will work but I haven't tried and I am no planning on it. Actually I dont see how it wouldn't as long it wired up correctly and the voltages would probably have to be the same.

The GPS will not track anywhere in the United States on a map. This GPS is really old tech. Its mid 90's and is CD-ROM based where pretty much all US GPS was/is DVD-ROM based. So there is a lot more room on a DVD to load maps from, IE the entire world. CD system on the JDM unit only has maps for Japan.

This entire setup is really eye-candy than it is anything else. Other than the GPS it does function like any other media displlay though and stereo.

The radio however is tuned fro JP frequencies so you will only the low end of the US freq spectrum (89.x). I have seen a writeup somewhere on how to fix this issue with the radio and I plan on redoing it when the time comes.

ok, this is what i got from a few local forum friends and local chop shops.
1) ek4 navi wt remote control and a/c controls

2) navi from the rear et wiring loom.

3) gathers broadcast media tuner (no cables)

4) and also found this cd magazine, kinda old school, but for $10, who can resist?

can u please tell me, do i have enough items to hook up?
i know that i'm missing some cables to connect the media tuner to the navi unit.
maybe installing th cd mag and media tuner under the co-driver's seat.
have'nt really started installation works, yet. too busy...
what do you think?

The harness is the biggest thing to have. It alleviates a ton of headache. However you dont have the tape player. For there to be any chance of sound you will require the tape deck.

You can install the navigation and harness and it will power up. Your climate control will work as well.

Mr.WAX, by any chance do you have an jdm/ukdm ek4 wiring manual/diagram?? possible for the power windows? I know it's off topic but.....hey you never know

Power window wiring is generally all the same for all models regardless of USDM, JDM, EDM, etc.

I left out some vital info. it's for a sedan, and it's the master switch that controls all 4 windows.
