Hi guys, I am installing a prostart remote controlled car starter on my 99 D16Y8 civic coupe. All the wirining is basically done but have a few options on how to bypass the clutch switch. There is a black and red wire which leads to the clutch interlock switch.
there is a few options:
1. bypass the clutch interlock by connecting the red and black wire together, this will disable the feature when you manually start the car, which i do not want. i want to be able to press the clutch pedal when i start with key.
2. the prostart CT3260 has a 30A +12v output that i can select from these three functions (Accessory, ignition and or starter) I was leaning to use this wire and set it on starter to send a +12V to the clutch interlock swith.
3. or three is use a relay and have it wired with the starter wire so it will give +12V to the clutch interlock switch.

Do you think option 2 is good? I know going the relay route is the safest but i don't have a relay.
