I just bought this 98 civic picked it up for 1600 and its painted milano red and has serious oxidation. The hood looks pinkish the roof and trunk are turning white and some spots on the panels are turning white. I have been told and read other forums that you can bring it back somewhat with a good compound polish and finish with a buffer. Some i read just said its shot not even wet sanding will help. Just wondering what you guys thought i took pics. thanks

To answer your question, that is the clear coat starting to fail...

You can TRY to wet sand it with 2000 grit sand paper and a rubber 3m Block... Use lots of water.. Once you have sanded lets say the entire top of the trunk, go back with a buffer and a rubbing compound made for use with a buffer... and go over it until glossy, then go back with a final wax...

3m makes a 3 stage product specifically for that... Once your done if it looks great, do the rest of the car....

As far as the car and price... Good deal, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get some better headlights, HALO headlights would look better and even those look stupid lol... Great pick up bro
