Need help with Trunk struts part

Hi guys,

My trunk lift supports stopped working a long time ago, I'm trying to find a set to replace with, my question is do those hatchback ones not compatible with the sedan ones? Or can I make them fit as long as I can put the bolts on and tight?

Hatch using a different length strut versus the tailgate of a sedan or coupe. Any of your local autopart store can get these still.

there should be a weight rating on the side of the strut.
you want t match the length and weight rating exactly.

I had a buddy who decided to put stronger hood struts on his 4runner, to make the hood open on it's own...

I watched him fold the hood in half, trying to close it the first time.

Thank you guys, I've bought the a set from LX Sedan, they worked perfectly, altho it doesn't open itself but strong enough to not fall back into the lock when I pull the latch or turn it with my key
