new member looking for literature

got a 2000 civic ex I'm still pretty green when it comes to Honda's so I've been looking for literature books manuals to learn about doing modifications how modifications work and engine basics etc so I have an understanding of how everything works before I start i found a book called Civic Duty by Alan Paradise but it's pretty dated so any suggestions would be highly appreciated thanks jeff

Welcome aboard. Aside from this forum being loaded with information on virtually any Civic topic you can think of, you can also buy a Helm service manual which will cover pretty much every repair and disassembly. You can also download the pdf version below.
