Power surge, engine cut out and car will not start

I was driving and the dash warning lights all came on as well as the air fan turned on full blast and then the motor cut out. The battery light was on for about 20 mins before this happened. When I turned the key there was no power so when I got it back home I replaced the battery to get power to the car. The engine turned over and wouldn't start so I checked the fuel pump fuse and it was blown. Replaced it tried again and same thing. Replaced fuel pump and still won't start. The mechanic that just had it claims the relay under the glove box is good and that the car is blowing multiple fuses. Any ideas?

There's one or more shorts to ground. Start by telling us which specific fuses are blowing.
