Hello,

I have a 96 civic dx hatchback with the rear quarter panel starting to rust. Its mainly surface rust by the rear wheel wells, but some of it is starting to corode into the metal. Just wondering the best way to repair it. Any suggestions welcome.

If it's surface rust, pick up an angle grinder and grind it out until the metal is smooth. You'll want to primer it IMMEDIATELY, though, as it will rust worse if left exposed. If it's eating into the metal (cancerous), you'll need to cut out that section of metal and weld in another one. Quite a bit of work.
