Polish or a wax remover (NOT a cleaner wax) and clay will remove the old wax. PLEASE read the how to I linked in the other post on the previous page. That's odd... Never heard of that happening. Anyway though, a Chevelle shoudl haev a single stage enamel, which is a different kind of paint job than the modern clearcoat paints most modern cars get from the factory.kmiller said:dude be careful one of my friends buffed his chevel and it looked REALLY good until it rained.....as soon as the rain hit it it messed his paintjob up....so yea be careful
