something really weird happened....

i ordered a set of Eiback Sportline drop springs a few months back.

i installed them myself, everything was ok. The rear sat about 1-1.5" lower than the front. the rear was tucking tire while the front was about an inch from the tire.

weird.

so i took them off, threw the Omni coilovers back on, because i like a raked stance on my cars.

a buddy of mine with the exact same car as me wanted the springs. i sold them to him, told him what happened in my case, he said ok, and wanted to see what happens.

he installed them on his car, and it turned out perfect. absolutely perfect. front exact same as the rear.

what in the hell happened? why was mine so weird and his was fine?

nope, not that i needed to, but i followed directions to the T

i've installed and worked on several suspensions...not a novice. and if F=front and R=rear, i was good to go.

maybe the spring wasn't tucked in the groove of the strut :what: possiblity no way you can really mix up the rear cause they are diff than the fronts so i dont' know on that one

everything was placed exactly how it should have been, and also adjusted so the end of the coil was dead even with the perch on the strut.

nope.

granted, i had my CF and all on...

but how about this: i popped the hood....i, MYSELF, actually stood on a strut tower! i just added 150 lbs to ONE strut tower.....went down minimally, if ANY...

i doubt my cf reduced 150+ lbs...

Do you have a system in the trunk?

Maybe they didn't have enough time to settle in :what:

Perhaps the day was opposite day, and while looking back now it was reverse opposite day. And you've been opposited into installing the springs in the opposite directions, instead of F=front and R=rear, it made it F=Rear and R=front. So you lost out, sir.

Maybe that dead b***h that was tied up in your trunk made your rear lower...

got a feeling the springs you got were misslabeled
maybe integra springs

the reduced weight of the engine + cf might have been enough to cause the gap

nope, springs were 110% installed correctly. i am positive as i am typeing this right now.

we're both using stock struts.

he and i have the same engine. exact. y7. And there's no way in hell CF reduces that much weight.

and i dont haul dead people around in my car for a length of time. i do the hit, then dump 'em.....dont waste time.

springs were double checked by myself and by Eibach themselves to be the correct springs for my car.

You sure your rear shocks aren't blown?

I'm going with blown dampers. Even though the spring may carry the weight blown dampers will not rebound to factory height. And with a close to factory spring rate the car will "sag" on blown shocks.

nope, struts were perfectly bound and rebounding. they were only 4 months old. i installed new factory stuts on the car when i got it.

if anything, his struts are circa 97....they would be the ones to be blown..

think anything could be up with my frame?
