Hey guys.

Just want to post is up to let everyone know that there is some changes going on around here. Some of you have caught wind of it, some have not.

This thread is just to let everyone know that there will be threads that are going to move and many sections that are going to disappear.

It is no secret that forums are dying out and until recently, we had no activity. There was a time when we wouldn't even see a post in the busiest thread (what are you doing/did you do today) for a few days.

What we are trying to do is to dump the sections that are not getting any traffic or are barely alive (sections like the regional, photography, diy, etc). Sections like the build threads are now going to be in the generation specific forums, not just a section for the builds/show your ride. They will be mixed in with tech to help make this place at least look like it is a little more active. DIY isn't going away, but they will turn into stickies at the top of the gen sections and will move into an archive type position.

So keep in mind that some of your threads might be moved. We aren't deleting them, they are just getting a new bedroom in the house so you might have to do a little digging to find them again until you find out exactly where they have landed. Also, we aren't deleting the threads that are in the sections that are being removed. They are just being removed from view but will still show up under searches.

I am locking this thread from public posting for now as it is more of an announcement and a heads up than it is a discussion. If you have any questions please shoot one of us mods a PM.

Just want to bring this to the top as some of the changes happened over the weekend.

As you can see, we removed the new members section and have merged it with our off topic section as this place gets the most action. There are a lot of members that hover in this section and don't even venture out into the tech sections. We are hoping with new member introductions being housed in the off topic section, more people will get a warmer welcome.

Also, the regional forums are now gone. They have been a ghost town and have only been home to posts that no one replies to as of late or bumped old threads that still get no love. Plus there are a couple members that have used it to spam their website to get traffic for "track" event. No one responds to them.

Meet and even coverage can become part of the off topic section if there is anyone that ends up having show coverage, which seems pretty slim around here in the last year or 2 anyway.

Keep in mind that some of your threads might disappear for a bit until we find their proper home. Biggest being the "other" rides section. We are building a section that will be under the 10th gen that will house the new "other" rides section. All of the builds, show off threads, and tech questions for anything non-civic will have a nice new home.

We are doing this to mock other sites that are still busy or are at least appearing busy compared to club civic. By merging tech and show off your ride threads, as well as build threads, each generation section will seem busier and will get more traffic. We are finding out that people are merging to their specific generation anyway and tend to hover around what they know best or ask questions based on what they have as opposed to a blanket "engine section" or "interior section".

It's just a theory that we hope will help boost activity, or at least give a sense of increase.

I also opened it up for posting so you guys can ask your questions here. We will try to answer them the best we can.

Please keep it clean and keep the off topic chatter out. Anything not related to the subject will be removed to keep the thread for the new changes and confusion that it might cause. It also isn't up for discussion as everything has been put into motion and we have come to a unanimous moderator/staff decision about doing these changes.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
