Swapping heads

Is it possible to replace the head on my sohc non vtec 1.6l d16y8 to a sohc vtec 1.6l ? Just the head, if so or if not what needs to be done?

Yes, its a common swap called the mini-me swap. Search this forum and you will find several threads on the swap.
