my car is takin its time pickin up on the RPM its kind of slow but not to slow, then my car starts to back fire, and i tryed doin the timing myself but i don't have those lil marks on the plastic thing on the side of the motor to tell when the timing marks are lined up right, Is there anyway else I can do the timing wihtout using the little marks to line them up?

yea i know that, you know the marks that they show in the book on the plastic cover on the bottom not the one that covering the timing belt
