trouble bleeding clutch mc

ive got everything all put together and the reservoir is full, and when i pump the clutch pedal i get no pressure, at all, and it does not use any fluid. its a brand new master cylinder from napa autoparts.

yup. its brand new from honda. it was working before but there still wasnt enough pressure and still some grinding. very little but still some.

Sounds like you still have some air in the lines. Try to rebleed the system.

did you bench bleed the master befor you installed it?
is the arm on the clutch master adjusted to the correct length?

both of those are critical for the system to work correctly.

i did not bench bleed. which is what i was wondering about. thats what i figured it was.

Are you using it? Fill the reservoir with fluid and press the pedal up and down until the bottle is nearly full. Keep the reservoir high on fluid at all times. Then repeat. If the pedal does not stiffen up after pumping the pedal up and down several times, then check for a fluid leak.
