Upgrade for my 85 civic wagovan 4x4

I have a 1985 civic wagovan with the 4x4 6 speed transmission. It has a new head and cluth. the guy I bought it from said I could hook a LS vtec engine up to the tranny and is he correct? It would be fun to make a sleeper that could smoke some cars. Just wondering what I could do to it. I think it has the 1.5 litre carb engine in it now.

the B-series engines will not bolt-up to your transmission - the only engines that will bolt right to that transmission are the 84-87 Civic/CRX engines - to run a fuel injected engine in your car (like the Si) will require you to replace the fuel system and most of the wiring
