upgrades for turbo

What kind of upgrades should i do before i get a turbo, just to insure that it doesn't create bigger problems down the road?

Build the bottom end with some pistons and rods then you can boost more.

Any ways of lowering the comp. ratio, take. Piston, Rods, Crank ... you get the general idea ...

it all depends on whether or not how much boost you want to run and the engine your putting a turbo on. Are you wanting too put a trubo on your stock engine or are you swapping it for a dohc? Because you be able to get more boost out of the latter .

Say i want to run 12 lbs of boost on my stock engine. Why would i be able to get more boost out of a dohc? What would be a good site to go to if i wanted to find new cam, pistons, rods and things of that sort?

12 psi on the stock bottom end of any motor is really pushin it. boost isnt what you want- its horsepower. on the stock engine, you will get more hp boosting a dohc than a sohc. you have a lot of reading to do before you even think about boosting. boost the stock bottom end for awhile, then build later if you want more.
