valve adjustment and timing belt

im new to the whole honda scene i love my car but all i mostly know is chevy trucks and small block v-8s but i was told by a shop my car needs a valve adjustment and a timing belt how do i do that??????? please help

Best bet is to pickup a Haynes/Helms manual. You'll thank yourself if your DIY

yeah timing belt and valve adjustment isnt a big deal... but if you take it to a shop start stretching your ass out now...

valve adjustments from the dealer was only 85 for my ride.. belt is another story. theres a DIY somewhere on here..

its recommended to do the water pump when you do the timing belt

In my opinion, the best Civic manual is the Honda service manual. OP -- The 96-00 manual can be downloaded free at either manual link in my signature.
