"wet" or "dry" cold air intake?

i have a off brand intake for my car, i just got done cleaning with the k&n cleaner kit. stuff works wonders but i dont know if i need to oil it or not. how do i tell if its a wet or dry filter? i would post a picture, but i cant seem to figure out how to.

Post a picture. There are "off brands" that are not paper filter. Such as Spectre and AEM (unless it's the new AEM DryFlo, which are pretty obvious).

hopefully that will work...

it doesnt look like a paper type filter... its made of woven fabric of some sort.

just oil it VERY LITTLE... like give it one full spray and done! slap it on the pipe.
