Why does'nt Honda Manufacturers make the civics with four disc?
The buyer would'nt have to go through the conversion.

because they already offer the 6-disc cd changer as an option...

jk

i think this is in the wrong section, but it'ts mainly best of cost, and the civic doesn't need 4 disc brakes to stop it. honda figured 2 was fine and so it was. the 8th gen civics come with 4 disc brakes, if that makes you happy. :D

its a economy car. its not meant to be driven in speeds that would require a 4 disc setup.

Oddly enough most people to realize that drum have far more stopping power than disk(look at semis) The disk are far more useful for repeated stopping as it dissipates heat better. They also look a ton better.

I have a 99 Si and it has 4-wheel discs. I like the braking power (far superior to my 98 DX sedan with drums in the rear), but the e-brake sucks. Even after tightening it, I still can't park on steep hills. So, I'm still undecided on 4-wheel discs.
