Window and lock both not working (same door)

On the driver's side passenger door both the window and the lock stopped working. At first the problem was intermittent and then they stopped working completely. I can manually lock and unlock no problem but using either the remote or button inside it won't work.

Could there be one component causing both failures or are they separate issues? Thanks.

Driver's side passenger? You mean the rear door?

Either way, check the wiring going into the door boot. You have a break somewhere or the harness has come unplugged.

The most common place for wire breaks is at the door jamb connector where the wires constantly flex.

Yeah it's the rear left passenger door. Sorry, used the wrong wording there.

I will take a look at the door jamb and see what I find.

I found a broken wire in the door jamb so I'm going to order a replacement wiring harness to see if that fixes both problems.

After replacing the wiring harness both the power window and lock now work.
