I did mine too. It came out wrinkled in some areas more than others but barely noticeable. It looks much better than stock IMO. Ive gotten some good comments from others about it, I highly recommend it!

I used VHT, then threw it in the oven for 3 hours @ 200degrees right after painting. I didnt let it dry or anything.

Wow. I know this is a pretty old thread, but I've had my Civic all of 3 months- can't wait to do mine. Man, those look tight.

Sorry for bringing up am old thread, but I have sandpaper but it's 1000, 1500, & 2000. I'm guessing that's too high right?

The only think i'm worried about is putting my VC in my oven. Is it beneficial or should I just let it dry naturally?

did mine a week ago, I let it dry for 4 hours naturally, then to finish the wrinkle process in the oven at 200 for 20 mins. The 24 hours to finish drying.

Just a question anyone who has done this. How many cans of paint did you buy/use?

Old thread I know but holy crap these all look nice. Ima paint mine wrinkle black I think.



Anyone know if I need to do anything to the inside of it? It looks like dog poo

I just taped mine off so I wouldn't get paint inside. You could always wash it out if it looks bad inside.
