Another over heating thread

Today my 03 ex overheated briefly, and intermittently. So since the fan wasn't running, I flipped on the a/c. The a/c cooling fan came on, but no joy on the main cooling fan. So I went straight to the fan motor itself. Since that was the only thing that I could reach without getting burned.

It's getting power to the fan, I verified that by using a multi meter. And I even tried a direct battery connection. So I believe that this fan motor is gone.

Even Majestic Honda is a bit steep on the price. So are there any other options for getting a good replacement fan, without getting burned? At the factory price point, you'd think that the fan motor would be rebuild able.

I'm a little bit suspicious of all the 25 dollar replacement fans out there. So what do most of you guys do?

With that said, stop being cheap and buy the OEM or pull one from a scrap yard and try that route.
