Sorry to bring back such an old thread, but I need advice. I recently acquired a 2002 acura RSX. Car runs and shifts fine. Just has a stumble at times in 5th gear under 2000 rpm's. When it does this and i press the gas, it downshifts as it should and goes away. It even stops this if it hits 2000...

I've always wanted a 98-99 M3 Coupe, but scared of the maintenance. Heard they were fairly reliable though. I owned a 2001 530i sport and would never do that again. Got tired of seeing that CEL light. I also owned a 95 328 iS and it was a pretty good and simple car. Never really had any issues...

Drain and refill is done. To my surprise it shifts and drives better than it has in 2 years. I think it may still slip just a little between 2-3 gear. I will keep an ear out and see what happens

Didn't get me anywhere. Somehow I need to pull the latch that opens it. It needs replacing. I see where it broke inside. When the handle is lifted, whatever it pulls, it broke away from it.

So the Maxlife will work as well as the original Honda ATF.... I called Honda and they said like $8-9 qt.

No I have not. CEL does work. Just cleared it when I replaced an oxygen sensor

No CEL Tranny fluid level is good and it looks good as well No light blinking either I have it looking how I want it. Rides good. What is the best tranny to try to find. It's lowered on 17's if that matters.

It slips between 2-3 and 3-4. Now it's starting to slip on take off at times. It's my daily driver also. I can't afford to have this car go down. 120 mile round trips to work every week

Is it really that tedious of a job. My tranny builder said if he built mine he wouldn't guarantee it unless he did the actual install.

I currently have a 1998 Civic DX. My tranny(automatic) is starting to have issues. As I understand it's about $1500 to rebuild. I honestly don't want to take a chance on a used tranny. The car is in descent shape, but I'm not sure it's worth sinking $1500 in it to rebuild. Car has approx 173k...

Yes its an auto tranny. It almost sounds lije its still the driver side but it has to be the passenger side. What effects can worn ball joints have? I replaced the upper a arms for adjustable when I lowered it a while back. The look pretty good at this point. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747...
