Take out your battery charge or replace it. Clean the battery cables and reinstall it nice and tight...if still nothing check for voltage at the starter when you crank...if no voltage then test your starter solenoid " starter switch" ... Hope this helps

Check your AC condenser fan. (driver side) if it doesn't turn on when your stopped your car will idle really bad. Does the idle improve with the AC off? Also others have removed their IACV and cleaned it out with carb cleaner and put it back on. To fix poor idle issues. Good luck.

This is a late reply... My car threw the same code 1457. I didn't need to change the two-way valve ( bypass valve) or solenoid. I removed the vent close solenoid off the top of the canister, cleaned the dirt off the o-ring and re-installed it. Cleared the code and it never came back on.

Does turning the AC on or off change the idle? If so check to make sure your AC condenser fan is coming on. If in doubt put 12v straight to the terminals to check the fan, and put a volt meter on the plug from the car. it should read 14v when the fan turns on. I changed my fan motor and no...
