hole on timing belt - how?

I can see the teeth in the bottom of the picture. Looking at the belt damage there must be some rubbing noise. Didn't you hear some strange noise? By the way, taking the mid cover maybe can be enough to see or figure out where is touching that belt...

hole on timing belt - how?

Belt tensioner bearing total failure or random failure? (as the damage is on the outside of the belt). In the picture, I cant see any of the belt teeth....... Maybe as the picture is taken in the side where the teeth are towards the oposite side. In my civic no matter from which side you look...

Need to find where my bolts go

Water pump? IIRC there are 5 or 6 bolts in the pump But the most easy to start is looking if the timing belt cover bolts are all in their place. If so, maybe some of the water pump are the ones you have. There's no others bolts (1 1/2 inches) I can remember in that job you've done

    New Civic Type R boasts 310hp, 295 torque turbocharged 2.0 l engine

You are right. Some are talking about the 1.5t with 200hp (nothing bad comparing with the actual civic exs for example) Maybe the new civic Si would probably have the 2.0t but with less power than the ctr. Let's say something near 240-250hp. But nothing official yet (obviously)

    97 civic ex oil leak

From inside the distributor? I know you change the outside dizzy oring, but sometimes the oil comes from the inside of the dizzy, from it's shaft seal to be more accurate

Is The Coupe VTi the same as the Coupe Si?

Yes. I have a Vti ek4, sedan, and has the same Engine, Suspension, Brakes and Steering parts of the EM1 U.S. The differences are in the body parts and interior. For those parts you have to look for the ex ones (and others models 96-00)

    Brake Pads for Civic EK4

The Hawks HPS are in the same range of the oem, i mean, a bit of more stopping power, and nearly the same longevity. By the way, i didn't notice big amounts of dust (always talking about the Hps, i don't know other hawk's pads maybe are more "dusty")

need suggestions to freshen up suspension

They will fit right straight. Nothing else to change or buy apart. They are the same as the oem, but with a little harder rubber, nothing stiff to worry about. Remember, if i remember right, that the Canadian SI are the equivalent to the EX in U.S? Easier: what engine code do your car have?

need suggestions to freshen up suspension

That kit is for the 99-00 SI, it has some minor difference with the other 99 civics. Look in the hardrace website the kit for your model (if it's not an SI) Here i found it for you: http://www.buyhardrace.com/product/hardrace-suspension-bushing-kit-us-spec-96-00-civic-cx-dx-hx-lx-ex_52.html...

Quick squeak when taking off from a stop

Maybe the slave cylinder shaft needs temperature grease in the place where it touches the clutch fork (i mean, it's a must, the service manual especify that also) . If there's no more grease there, the slave shaft would make some kind of bird chirp caused by the engine vibration. That could...
