Just a personal preference. Growing up, I remember seeing Nissan's with this knob, and it was always angled toward the driver. Plus, the stock Sol shifter leans left instead of back: So it sort of matches the "feeling" of shifting. All very driver-centric. EDIT: And yeah, I have been...

Haha, no. It's anchored to the actual metal bumper. I just mounted it so the cloth strap lays out in front. :-)

Getting them mocked up. A trip to the hardware store for some threaded spacers, and we should be in business! (A little droopy right now, but they're only held on finger-tight)
