    Starting issue, dies whIle driving

Adjusting the idle speed isn't directly my issue. I've read up on how to adjust it and I've actually played around with it quite a bit. My issue is that the car just dies randomly (idling, running, doesn't matter). According to the list of causes to this issue, according to my service manual...

    Starting issue, dies whIle driving

I have a very similar issue to yours, so maybe this will help: mine dies randomly while running, no CEL on. I have replaced spark plugs since they were old and copper vs titanium electrode. I discovered my ICM was bad (replaced my dizzy with a reman a few years back) so I replaced that too...

    Grinding Noise From Under Hood

hey man I was reading this post and getting ready to add helpful questions that would help pinpoint your noise. that was until I saw the pics you posted. hope you're ok, once the shock and pain is gone and you're ready for another civic (if thats what you're looking for), make sure you find one...

    '92 VX wont start

crazy notion, and i realize that you've asked for input at the beginning of the month, but if for some reason you still haven't reached a resolution: if your car is standard, could it be that your neutral switch has lost the grommet on the clutch pedal? you would know if you see crumbles of a...

    Timing belt

the tool you bought is a good effective way to do it when you don't have air power available. thats how I have done it. i have seen it done with an impact, you just have to hope it wasn't over tightened. i think the torque spec for the crank bolt is like 85 ft lb ... correct me if I'm wrong.

Proper Way To Clean An Engine Bay/Engine

while valid, and verifiable (based on what what I have seen at work myself). I still believe that when done regularly/on time and in conjunction to other proper maintenance procedures, flushes keep things running well.

    Best gaskets?

I would recommend dealer head gasket and fel-pro for the rest. Its just one of those things that you don NOT want to redo if it still leaks afterwards. Got a good machine shop and reliable torque wrench?

    Yo. What's up, Clubcivic?

this reminds me of a sticker I had on my 98 coupe: it said "vtec inside" and it was drawn like the "intel inside" logo you see on computers lol this was my rando comment for the day :rocker::rocker:

01' civic lx no crank,no start.

just to let you know, there are 2 switches on the clutch pedal. the one you found and one more that is higher up on the pedal. this was one experience I did not like, so do yourself a favor and check that one out too. its very uncomfortable to see. I unbolted the driver seat so I could lay down...

Proper Way To Clean An Engine Bay/Engine

I have used both a spray can product by the brand of "gunk off" engine degreaser, as well as diluted "purple power" in s spray bottle. in my experience, the purple power is a great degreaser, albeit it tends to leave residue unless you rinse VERY thoroughly, and you get more bang for your...

Proper Way To Clean An Engine Bay/Engine

ditto on the covering of dizzy and fuse boxes. also, I either cover/tape over, or hand wash spark plug wire area. I once got water inside the spark plug chamber and the engine sounded like a Subaru but ran like a lawn mover! lol :shocked2:

    windshield trim (water canals)

Hey guys, I am in need of some guidance please. I am having my windshield replaced, and the trim around it is extremely brittle. I am specifically looking for the side trim, or as the safelite tech called it, the "water canals". Here is what I have done so far, so as to not be THAT guy: 1. I...

    DIY front alignment?

dude man, most shops will turn you down for an alignment simply because of your spring setup. as @lethal6 said, you can/should get your front toe corrected, but expect to be warned that your alignment will not be warranted. unfortunately, the only way to fix this is to spend money. other than...
