Sorry all that crap happened. :( The best idea is really to just remove the entire shock assembly and take them somewhere and have them compress and remove that nut. I went to 2 different places and neither charged me anything.

Im not sure what you mean by mechanical vs electrical. Its just a temperature sensor. :???: Im pretty sure I can tap it into the hose (I just wanted to avoid drilling a hole), but why wouldnt you do that? Edit: THIS link shows almost exactly what the sender looks like.
