Try Simple Green or slightly diluted lemon juice for the painted parts. For the window, try white vinegar.

True for the majority, but there are some of us that painted them black as part of a color scheme for the car.

Give Ultracare a call. They're here in Stockton. I don't know what they'd charge for a swap, but their repair rates are reasonable and they usually have a quick turnaround, at least for the regular stuff I've had them do.

Go for the 10/22 with a couple extended clips and a cheap scope and call it a day. Just don't put Winchester ammo through it. It will jam and be a bigger PITA to clean later on. Shoot Federal or CCI ammo and have a blast!
