Back in January, I bought my first bike. I found this on craigslist. Wasn't running, needed a lot of TLC. I was captured by this bike's uniqueness and reputation. Liquid cooled, V-4, 700cc, 6 speed with shaft drive. It was almost a complete teardown. New wheels, bearings, rebuilt forks, *new* rebuilt carbs, new throttle cables, new speedo cable, new plugs, new wires, new fuel pump, new fuel lines, new mufflers, etc, etc. I did a lot of paint work on it too. Bed liner sprayed the front fender and fuel tanks, custom painted the motor side covers. Anyways, I got it running and don't have any leaks! YAY!

--- Bike running and sounding so nasty good.

I can finally start putting the rear end together and ride this beast in a couple more weeks. (Hopefully) IMG_20160323_210009.jpg IMG_20160323_210002.jpg IMG_20160323_205949.jpg IMG_20160323_205937.jpg IMG_20160317_210247.jpg IMG_20160317_210234.jpg

Thanks man, I love the sound. When I get it out of the garage I'll take the baffles out to see how loud it is then.

Got the rear brake linkage installed on Friday. Had to loosen the entire exhaust system to get the pivot shaft into the frame then had to adjust the fk out of it. But it works! The bike has mechanical rear drum and dual hydraulic discs up front. Need to hook up the return spring and switch for the rear tonight and bleed the front soon. I'll post some pics later. All I want to do is work on this bike... I have two hours left at work then I can escape to the garage for hours! I cannot explain how fkin awesome it is that this thing fires right up. I kept waiting for something else to need to be replaced. And I am sure there will be but for now it's so close to complete! Cool link about the bike : http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/honda_vf_700_c_magna_1986.php

Mine is an 84 but the specs are the same. And mine doesn't look so old school anymore.

Bike is basically done! Just need to bleed the front brakes. And I'll be painting the side covers. It's not legal for road use yet but I took it around the block last night. Runs so damn good. By far the fastest machine I have ever owned. VF700_Magna.jpg
