2002 Civic ABS light on repair

i got a DTC 17 trouble code which i think is the left wheel sensor.
I measured the voltage between the appropriate wheel sensor (+) circuit terminal of the
ABS control unit 31P connector and body ground and got a voltage reading.
How do i repair short to power in the (+) circuit wire between the ABS modulator control
unit and the appropriate wheel sensor? As said in the manual?

do you know what wire gauge is for the abs? and how do I replace it. do I cut the wire from the abs modulator and run a new one?

It's very informative what you are saying. I am a beginner driver, and i can't talk with my father couse he is to nervous. It is easier to listen to experienced people than to someone you do not understand.
