While they're nice cars, they are priced too high for the general US market. The few people who would probably be interested in buying one are either too young (read: "broke") to afford one or realize they can build a car that better suits them much cheaper.

If this really had the Type R allure then I could see it selling for $30,000, but this car isn't any quicker than a standard Si.

I do think a better move would have been to bring over some sort of Type R incarnation in limited numbers.
