The immobilizer is build into the ECU, if you tamper or attempt to remove it you may damage/disable the ECU preventing you from ever starting the car again until you replace it and have the key reprogrammed at the dealer.
However if you purchase a KPRO you can disable it from there. If you are not modifying the engine though, you will be wasting your money.
