91 Civic Lx half shaft ID

My 91 Civic LX has a torn outboard CV boot on the driver's side. I am advised to replace the half shaft as a unit. When I go to order the shaft I am faced with a choice of different shafts based on the number of splines. Is there a way to check which shaft is right for my car without pulling the shaft first?

If memory serves me, BUT, I did look it up anyway...
Si/Ex/Lx/Dx, 88-91 use 26 spline axles.

I checked the honda parts guide and they call the thing a driveshaft L or is there a space between drive and shaft? Anyway it most certainly is the SOHC 4 speed automatic and the shaft on the drivers side.
Vendors are calling it driveshaft, axle shaft, cv shaft, half shaft, and the list goes on. Most give a spline count-25, 26, or 23 so that spline count is the information that will give me the correct one by the vendors nomenclature.
