So i went to autozone because my check engine light went on and they said its either
bad cat, misfire or vaccum leak... any body has this same kind of problem?

My guess is you either have a bad cat, a cylinder misfire, or a vacuum leak?

i don't know much about this stuff
but i went to check if i had an exhaust leak and it was fine,
whenever i drive and i let go off the gas pedal it has sounds like an exhaust leak but its come from the engine,
could it be the belts?
how do i tell if i have a misfire (would changing spark plugs help?)
and how do i detect vacuum leaks?

what is the check engine light (CEL) code number? should be something like P0304...or something like that for example. are you obd2 or obd1?

this is for obd2 http://www.troublecodes.net/honda/hondaobd2.shtml

if its a vacuum leak, you will have to just look for it and listen. you might throw a code for it.
you wont throw a CEL for belts, but that could be the noise. good luck!!

if u have a misfire get new spark plug wires or spark plugs
i had a misfire n new wires helped
but make sure its not something else first cuz it would suck to pay for something u dont need lol

P0420. ive had that before
catalyst efficiency below threshold.
its either your rear 02 sensor is shot, or your catalytic converter is shot. if you bring it to a shop they can test the o2 sensor to see if its working properly and then from there will be able to find out which is the problem

i think those are three different problems. like there would be a different code for each problem. a working cat should be if im not mistaken about 200 degrees hotter after it than before. thats what ive heard. did they tell you a dtc number?

where can i get another catalytic converter for cheap? or another 02 sensor?
