99 DX Coupe not going past 3500 rpms

I've had a problem with my car the past couple weeks where it won't rev past 3500 rpms. I got a check engine light code for a crankshaft position sensor so I replaced that and it didn't fix my problem. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be going on?
