Amp doesn't turn on

I recently hooked up my girlfriend's sub and amp. I wired it the same way I have both my two other cars (96 Civic and 99 Civic). She has a 2003 Civic.

It turned on the first time, and everything worked just fine. A couple hours later as she was about to go home, the amp did not turn on. I have never had a problem with my sub/amp.

Are there common mistakes people make which I could check? Or does anyone have any advice?

Thanks.

I have yet to check the fuses but that will be my first thing to do tomorrow when I take a look at it.
Everything else works fine on the car.
What would cause the fuse on the amp to blow?

bad ground...too small of a fuse...

you gotta trouble shoot before you start asking questions...

check all fuses and connections...especially the one at the battery...if its loose or corroded fix it...
