I'm in. I'm kind of tired of all of the people jumping on me about just taking a mere interest in it. Email me: canaanmathis@gmail.com and anyone else who wants to talk. I'm not putting my cell number up. But talk to me. Car's ready.

To everyone who say's keep it on the track: Why can't we keep it on both? It's all just a bunch a road, only difference is one has a place that other people are on. If you can take the responsibility if something bad happens, go for it. Just don't run your mouth to us when we do. You're voice has no say-so in one's decisions when it comes to this. You're not above them. Nobody is above any body. You have an opinion, and so do we, we don't breathe down your neck about not taking to the streets, keep it to yourself. If you wanted to hear an opinion go argue with a 13 year old girl.

First of all, you bumped up a topic that hasn't been in discussion for over 5 years :smackself: If you want to go racing on a track and kill yourself then go ahead. But don't even think that risking other peoples lives by racing on a public road is acceptable. That is just complete ignorance at its finest.
You sir are amazing.

THIS is why you can't keep it on both. Other people. I have absolutely no problem with people finding a COMPLETELY abandoned roadway (like an old farm road) and racing on it. Racing on a street that is in use by pedestrians and other motorists who have no desire to be involved in a race is inconsiderate, selfish, and dangerous.

You CANNOT take responsibility for killing somebody else. You do not have that power. All you can do is be sad about it and try to apologize as much as you can to his or her loved ones. Is that REALLY going to make anyone feel better? (I'm so glad he apologized, now I don't feel so bad about losing my 9 year old daughter, Ava.)

"But I'll be careful." You can only be so careful in an environment full of people that aren't involved in what you're up to. Even then, accidents happen. A wet patch on the road, something that pops your tire, brake failure, etc.

Take responsibility NOW. Don't put other people's lives in danger for the sake of your own reckless amusement.

im surprised this site allows this...pretty sad
We debated about this. It's like politics... people have different views. Though it is safe to say most of us are against it, clearly some people are not. Soo... debate away, but keep it civil.
