i was just wondering what is the average price of getting a body kit installed and painted. i have heard anything from 900 to 2500.

Save yourself the trouble. Body kits break, they don't fit right, you get tired of them, and not to mention, 99% of them are ugly as sin. Spend the money elsewhere.
Installing the kit is free if you use your own two hands like you shoud .... painting all depends on where you go.

Local shop around me wanted like $400. Not too bad, but that included doing minor body work to the kit, b/c the kit was fiberglass, and didnt come perfectly. But if you know how to use a drill, have basic math skills, and have alittle common sence, its not hard at all. Plus, itll be FREE if done by urself. 
To have it installed AND painted, they wanted $750 or so. It all depends on the bodyshop, and what the bodykits made out of (fiberglass, ABS, polyurethane, ect.)
