well in my opinion any b series is reliable, thats one of the reasons why they are popular. if it were me i'd go with the b16, 160hp vs 142hp, but i believe the b16 has less torque, still more powerful overall

I've never been a fan of the B16. Back when my d16 had just bolt on's I used to walk 99-00 SI's all day, from a roll and a dig. Afterwords everyone would make me open the trunk and hood so they could check to see if I had a bottle or something hidden on the car.

B20 with a B16 transmission and LSD. You'll pull on B16's all day long.

^ HP isn't everything, if I member right there tq levels aren't far apart or the b20 has more I can't remember
But like what was said if you put a b20 on a gsr or b16 trans it'll walk all over b16's

More torque + shorter geared transmission negates the ~20hp difference.

torque is always more important than horsepower.

    Boosted B20. Or B20 Vtec.

I'm not super impressed with the B16. It has more top end, but I like torque. But that's just me.
