I'm thinking about putting 17" x 7 rims on a 1993 hatch (its an Lsi over here in U.K. not sure of U.S. equivilent), and i was just wondering if they'd rub the arches with stock suspension and if not how much could the car be lowered before the arches are chewing the tyres?? Also if that was the case how serious of an arch mod are we talking? Just rolling them or having them cut out???

Sorry if this is an old topic! But any help would be appreciated!
Nice1!

17's would be okay on stock suspension, no rubbing, and i would imagine a 2"-2 1/4" drop would produce no rubbing at all...

i dont have 17's
maybe someday...

steelie's rule! :thumbs up:

Cheers for that!!
Makes a change for someone to acctually like 17" on a hatch too! I've heard loads lately complaining that 17" are shite cos it adds extra weight and spoils the performance of the car!! Big deal!!! Looks like its All Show and No Go for me then!! :thumbs up:
Well until I get alot more cash!
