So today I was driving and my girlfriend was behind me. And we were at a stop light and she said when I took off black smoke came out of my exhaust..not a whole lot but I was just wondering was is up? I noticed black smoke out of my friends civic last summer and that was right before his engine blew...

a lil too much fuel. only cause.. seriously. if it were whit...it would be oil or water. but black is fuel burning. too rich man. cut it back. also your O2 sensor might be on its way out. or your cat is shot.
check your 02 sensor.. my dad said black smoke came out of the exhaust pipe when I was rollin down the road.. just a little bit. the engine threw a CEL light about a month later and it was for the o2 sensor. the car drives a whole lot different now with a new o2 sensor.
Most hondas run rich by nature, I wouldn't worry to much about it, About 90% of all hondas ive seen regardless of engine make a little black smoke under heavy acceleration.
Running rich = Black smoke
Buring oil = Blueish smoke
Evaping waterish fluids = White smoke
Buring oil = Blueish smoke
Evaping waterish fluids = White smoke
