So I am finally a home owner. Bought a 4br/2bath/3car garage house. Total sqft is about 2621 sqft including the garage.

Garage itself is 627 sqft. Here is a current photo, some stuff is being stored until I get everything in the house organized. The far right where the kayaks are will be a kayak and fishing only section so I am designating the other two spots for the Civic and shop area. Lets hear your ideas.

Congratulations man, it's an awesome feeling becoming a home owner. If you have the dough, your imagination is the limit. Good luck.

That's actually not too bad of a price either. Though, I've never shopped around to compare to anything else, so I could be wrong.

OP, Congrats on the house!

My garage has the standard 10-11' ceiling so not sure how that would work out for me. Definitely want a lift sometime in the future, not sure if it will be this house that gets one.

Lifts need a deep concrete bed if I remember correctly, pretty much a no go in your current setup.

Concrete building code where I live is 12"x20" footers and 12" thick with #4 steel bar reinforcement. It's solid for a lift, just not enough overhead clearance.

Congrats on the house, I have been a home owner almost 2 years now. I would buy used good condition kitchen a cabinets and fill that whole back wall (opposite of garage doors) then build a bench the same length, also buy some sort of wall tool storage system for in between the cabinet and bench. When I bought my house the garage had shitty old cabinet on the ground with a 4x12 for the top and the whole thing is about 8' long, I plan on rebuilding another bench in the same spot and also making a full length bench on my back wall. Sucks because my garage is 1200sq ft but has been sectioned off in 3 sections, my guess would be about 600sq ft (garage) 300sq ft each of the other rooms and I have a single door not a 1.5 or 2.5 (whatever size that give you a foot or more clearance on each side) and my garage is in an ally making it hard to get into because I need to be straight on.

harbor freight has a lift similar to that except it doesn't need or uses side post its like one of those old school outside lifts

Miss this house as it had a baller 3 car garage. It was a man cave! Sold it last year and now looking at building a dream home out here in the desert.
Nice doggo's!

I just became a homeowner about 2.5 years ago. I've quickly learned that there is always work to be done lol.
