Can this cause no spark.

1998 honda civic cx with a d16y8 unknown miles.
I saw the the ignition coil modual has just completely melted on the bottom side while in my car. 15350291792941635970138.jpg


I then put the old coil on witch worked last time it was on but no spark this time testing it. Could it be the igniter modual that i need to replace.

Yeah having a melted coil means it had too much voltage going thru it. Check your spark plugs and make sure none have malfunctioned

Spark plugs look ok. Just replaced both the distributor coil and igniter...no spark...fuel in the cylinders

I sent a reply to the message you sent. That's a normal obd2a plug 1-8 little pins 5 being the one your pointing at. The 2 big ones are 9 and 10. [emoji5]
