Cleaned IACV, car idling dangerously low.

I've been having problems with my idle lately (idling too low) so I cleaned my IACV just like all the write-ups say and now it's idling dangerously low, feels like it's going to stall. But I put both wiring connectors back in place, both lines at the bottom are back on securely, not sure as to why I'm having this dangerously low idle. Any ideas?

Edit: Maybe I should try and reset my ECU?

Just reset my ECU following these steps.

1. drive car til its warmed up.
2. turn car off, disconnect battery or pull FI ECU fuse out.
3. put fuse back, start car, close hood
4. make sure all accessories are off, do not press any gas or brake
5. just let the car idle for 10 mins by itself
6. turn car off, then back on, and go for a drive like you normally do. it will take usually one tank of gas to completely relearn the fuel trims.

Still nothing. Any other ideas?

I had a similar prob, idk if d series have pcv systems but check that if you do and make sure it isn't clogged or anything
Make sure all hoses are hooked up right and not clogged

That makes sense but I'm pretty sure my solution has to be in what I've messed with. I haven't changed anything other than cleaning the IACV. I'll look into it though

Bump, any and all help is appreciated, Any way my IACV could be bad? All I did was clean it, and my problem got worse,

Idle control motor Could be ruined or could be the o2 sensor is responding to slow and starting to go bad.

On the way home from work tonight the car did fine. Idled around 500 rpm. maybe 600. Could it be the O2 Sensor taking too long to respond like you mentioned previously?

Are the idle speeds different when the car runs cold vs. when it is hot?

If I could threadjack for a second...maybe it could help.

I have a similar problem with my em1. It idles at around 1500-1700 cold, and as it slowly warms up, the idle slowly goes down, until at FOT it idles at around 600. I just replaced my iacv today and there is no change. So the problem doesn't sound like your iacv, maybe I have an o2 issue as well...?

O2 sensor can make a cars computer go bonkers and not act right
Exactly. Inaccurate data sent back to the ECU causing the car to not have the correct fuel/air ratio.
