NOTE: this is intended for those individuals who have installed aftermarket gauge faces and needed to remove the speedometer needle.

This is a do at your own risk procedure, I am in no way responsible for any damages you do to your speedometer!!!

In any Eg based model civic. the best and most accurate way to recalibrate your cluster once needles have been removed is to do this:

1. you need a navigation unit

2. drive a sustained speed in final gear (the faster you go, the more accurate you will be)

3. take note of your rpm for that given speed. (example: 120Kmh, 5th gear, XXXX RPMS)
- this is where the GPS come into play. Make sure you record speed from the GPS and
NOT THE CLUSTER in question of needing to be calibrated

4. jack front of car in the air

5. speedometer needle must be OFF in order to continue to the next step

6. Reach the RPMS which you noted in step 3 while in 5th gear

7. Install needle on speedometer at noted KMH/MPH in step 3

8. take for a test drive and test speed with GPS

Remember the faster you go in step 2, the more accurate the speedometer will be throughout the entire gauge.

I hope these instructions were simple enough to understand and good luck with your calibration
