DIY: How to replace vtec solenoid gaskets/seals

Applicable Years: 92-00 Civics vtec, d-series or b-series (just solenoid location differences)

Estimated Time:
10-25 min

Required Parts:
P/N: #15825-PR3-005 main solenoid seal/gasket.
P/N: #36172-P08-015 upper solenoid seal/gasket.

Required Tools:
- Ratchet
- 10mm Socket
- Philips head screw driver
- 10mm open ended wrench

Steps:
1 - Disconnect your battery (10mm wrench)
2 - Unplug the vtec wire
3 - Remove the plug bracket (phillips screw driver)
4 - Remove the solenoid (3 bolts on the base of the solenoid - 10mm)
5 - Open the top of the solenoid (3 bolts - 10mm)
6 - Replace the upper seal/gasket
7 - Close the top of the solenoid
8 - Replace the main solenoid seal/gasket.
9 - Put everything togheter
10 - Reconnect your battery
11 - Check for any leaks.
