Eh, it's been done, but I highly doubt you have the technical knowledge to do it. I sure as hell don't. It's not easy making it fit.

why try ghetto-rigging a DOHC to fit a SOHC when the full ZC swap will be cheaper than all the dimes and nickels youre going to throw into a moot project?

That would be like downgrading the Z6 motor.... wont work anyways. You better a Y8 head & mani on your block

if you are willing to spend that much money in fabrication and machine work to lose power maybe you wanna buy my bridge too.

If you were sucessful in machining a ZC DOHC head on a D16Z6 I think you could expect D16A1like performance.

Just port the Z6 head and find a 1.6 ZC SOHC VTEC cam and you'll be more than happy........don't try and mess with tryin' to hybrid a motor if you have no experience, it's not just a bolt on affair..........BTW the Z6 head ported will flow better than an Y8, but the intake manifold does flow a little better................unless ya port that too...........drop on an Integra throttle body and you're done...............................or maybe just begun.

why would you want to do that.. it's just stupid waste of time and money.

stay where you at, save up and get a full swap. Or rebuild your engine have y8 head, intake mani, and tb .. go turbo..
