Since this contest is based on racing, obviously IMO got traction gets my vote b/c it's clearly set up for track purposes. I do favor the sedan more. I love the crayola bay!!!

I have to agree with this, with mportedcivicsi as a close second.

Obviously, got traction takes the gold for being a straight up superior machine. But my vote was for the car that most represented the majority of average joe types that frequent this forum, who dream of building a practical street legal vehicle with weekend warrior capabilities. In that spirit, I had to give my vote to mportedcivicsi. IDK, just my thoughts.

I had to vote for got traction. The car that he entered is the epitome of "racing".

That car is amazing and wins for the racing aspect hands-down in my book, I don't think anybody would dispute that. I just feel like it's in a whole other category from the other cars. I mean jesus, most of us pump 87... that thing drinks 116 octane! It might be cool to see that car in the banner, as a reminder of where records are set and innovations are made. At the same time, I had to give it up for someone like most of us doing it without a team or sponsors, out of 1 wallet.

My opinions aside, I'll be happy if either of them win. Good luck!

Edit: I think all of these cars are sick, for the record. Jeders, your engine bay is freaking sweeet.

I voted for jeders..very clean car, which is not typical of a 4 door. only thing i dont like about it is the engine bay, just not a fan of the rainbow fad.

I entered our Outlaw car for shits and giggles. As for it being out of reach for the normal person, you are correct. It takes lots of time and money to build a car like that, and even more time and money to maintain it at a competitive level (plus traveling, beer, etc)

Is this the typical level of participation on these contests? How long will the polls stay open? ttt!

I think they are kind of slow at first but then pick up. I want to say the last couple had about 60 votes IIRC. Maybe it will pick up some over the weekend =) But I dont remember if its open until the end of the month or how long exactly...

Yes, that's there for a reason. We can't leave the contest open indefinitely. We give members on the site exactly 30 to cast their votes.

Sorry, I didn't even see that.

If you guys don't mind I'm going to bump this thing like every day unless I see more activity... it's too quite. I thought the turnout was better for these contests. People come on this site and give their opinions on every car in every build thread they can find, but then when there's an actual poll they all disappear?

This is sad... in one day Vic's "do you piss in the shower" poll saw twice as many people vote than have voted on this contest in nearly a week. WTF???

I'm going on my own VOTE or DIE campaign... come on, people!

1. I will always have love for 99-00 coupes. Those will probably always get my vote unless it's all riced out or something . With that being said, everything about this car is perfect. The color, the paint, the simpleness, the drop, seats, steering wheel.... I could stare at this thing all day long.

2. 8th gen Si's will probably always be my 2nd favorite Civic. Especially sedans! I love the wheels but aren't that big of a fan of the hood.

3. I love a clean 4-door. There are 2 issues for me with this car: The black side moldings but it doesn't have SiR front and rear bumpers. It doesn't flow IMO. Would've been better off painting them white or getting SiR F/R bumpers. The other issue is the engine bay. I am not a fan of multi-colored engine bays at all no matter how tucked, clean, or swapped it is.

4. The SpeedFactory car is SICK!!!!! BUT, I do think it's slightly unfair to put in a race car that has all sorts of money and time thrown at it.

With that being said.... I'm stuck between 2.

gotta go with the 96' DX civic SI's are always getting credit, the hatchback is nice but it doesn't seem to "fit" I dislike the multicolored engine bay why the hell would you do that for? But anyways everything else is pretty nice so the edge goes to the white EJ6
